@Alan Minor Project: The Beast Update

The Beast Update
Current state of the Beast

@Alan

How do I attach the head? Do I run the geometry through the body or do I end it around his back/shoulders? I'll be able to sculpt the neck muscles in afterwards.

Also, do I extrude faces on his lower back to make his tail?

Minor Project: WIP The Beast's Head

WIP The Beast's Head

Current state of the Beast's head. The Mouth/Nose/Horns/Eyes are still needing to be finished. His extra horns also still need to be added down his spine and on his neck.

Still feel like he's a bit 'wide' around his forehead.
Also don't think his resting face is evil enough... Working on it!

Minor Project: The Beast's Lower Body Complete - Excluding Tail

The Beast's Lower Body Complete
Excluding Tail

The Beast's lower body is complete, all that is left to do is add his tail.

Feet Improvements

After a discssion with Alan, the underside of his feet were too flat and needed to show it had a form of 'padding' like hands do. I have also added skin folds to the feet so they seem a bit more 'Beast'.

Silver's Head Model Complete

There is probably some minor teaks within her hat that needs doing but for now her head is complete.

Minor Project: The Beast Model Update - Lower Body

The Beast Model Update - Lower Body

Current state of the Beast's lower body sculpt in smooth preview. The geometry flow was easier to understand once his buttocks was figured out.

@Alan
Extra Edge/Foot/Claws

I have an edge that does not meet with another in his crotch area. If I finish the edge it acts like a spiral around the underwear line ending up with the same 5 sided shape lower down. How should I treat this? There is also the stretched rectangle just underneath, is this ok?

Is the geometry flow correct? I am unsure if the claws are working as in the front drawing they are much wider. I attempted them wider but it then does not fit with the toes. The toes seem too 'pad' like (cute?) is this how they would/should look or is there another way to make his feet seem less 'pedicured'? (Claws 1 & 3 not attached)

Minor Project: The Beast Orthographic

The Beast Orthographic

I must say this guy has been a big heart ache but this afternoon I have finally (I think) solved him in front perspective. @Alan I feel like hes a bit too much up top, is there anything wrong with his proportions etc? I am aiming to model him (and the Bear Prince) at 45 degree angles, would this be the right choice?

Minor Project: The Beast - Understanding within 3D

The Beast
Understanding

Blocking out the head of the Beast so that I can understand it better. His mouth is very large in proportion, including his teeth. This may be something I need to re-think.

That front facing image is... very scary!

Minor Project: Rough Silver Body Orthographic

Rough Silver Body orthographic

Any feedback about her proportions would be appreciated if needed. Her large hands will need to be figured out (attaching) when I get to them in Maya. The hand orthoraphic's are to scale.

Minor Project: The Bear Prince Update

The Bear Prince Update
Nose/Eyes WIP

I feel like the geometry is wrong at the mouth /jaw as its much wider than the front orthographic... I'm going to attempt deforming this area with a lattice to see what effect it has tomorrow. But for now I think the overall shape is there, and hair will finish his look off.

@Alan I'm thinking about ending some geometry before it gets into the front of his mouth. It's not looking quite right.

Minor Project: The Bear Prince's Ear - Nose WIP

The Bear Prince Ear
My 600th Blog Post...

Geometry still needs to be added/fixed around the ear as you can tell.
Once I add image planes for hair within the ear and around the outside like an actual bear, it won't look so uneven.

@Alan I have sent an email to you.
