As I want my textures and lighting to be my 'selling' point for my world, I have kept the modelling to simple shapes and repetitive objects to make the process easier to work with.

Adding (Basic) New PS Planes

To get a better understanding of my Maya scene, I've quickly made basic Photoshop images that I added onto a plane in Maya - This allows me to see things a lot more clearly and efficiently.

Issue Found:

White Lines Surround Plane Outline

I had some trouble remove the White lines around the edges of the planes once I had put them into Maya - so I had to take the images back into Photoshop to adjust this.

Here are Snapshots of my experiments within Maya using the CV Curve. 

I also tested the Taper attribute to get a more natural form to the shape.

This will be very useful for when I come to modelling 

my plants to wrap around elements in my scene.

The Fantastic Voyage: Pre-Viz Single Camera Pan

Camera Pre-Viz

As my Maya scene is very simple, I used a concept art piece on a plane to get an idea of scale and appearance, and used cylinders in-front and behind the pane to show the dept of field.

The 3D elements will be the leaves and glowing parts of the plants. I will be re-creating the plane again (and in colour) within Photoshop along with the background layer.

During this mornings life drawing lesson we were told that we would be drawing Janet today and how we were going 'back to basics' with line art and the line of movement from one pose to another.
