I really like numbers (1), (3) and (4).
They have the most interesting layout that I think draws your eye in.

    I think the trick with these environments is to keep them nicely stylised, flat-ish colour and 'toony' - in keeping with your characters - check out this great blog for some lovely 'cartoon' examples:
